Former Ivy League professor. I taught at Dartmouth, Johns Hopkins, UC Davis, Clemson, others. Faculty at Savannah State University and University of Maryland Global Campus. I published pioneering research on Internet addiction in 1996, and have researched and written about Internet phenomena and emerging technologies since 1994. My media dependency work is ongoing, along with my research on AI agency and on the ethics of scientists moving the Internet appliance into the human body. I’m a veteran newsman.
